Longhorn Welcome is UT’s official welcome for all new and returning Longhorns! As soon as students move to Austin, they can look forward to an exciting series of events hosted across campus. The campus-wide initiative starts with Mooov-In and continues throughout the first week of classes. Throughout the first week of classes, students are welcomed with a vibrant lineup of events happening across campus.
This campus-wide celebration includes major Signature Events as well as dozens of activities hosted by campus partners—offering something for everyone, no matter their interests.
Each event is designed to help students connect with fellow Longhorns, discover valuable campus resources, explore the Forty Acres, and take part in the traditions that make UT unique.

Longhorn Friday
Longhorn Friday is a way for Longhorns everywhere to show their Texas spirit and unite the UT community around the world, and it’s as simple as wearing burnt orange or the Longhorn silhouette every Friday.
